Data Services

Vanco’s Data Services portfolio encompasses all managed data network solutions provided by Vanco to clients, structured to provide an extensive yet flexible range of services and solution choices. All solutions are developed with an appreciation of the importance of flexibility in the choice of underlying commodity infrastructures and devices.

Data Services follows the pure VNO philosophy of using and integrating the most appropriate infrastructures and services, integrating certified providers, supported by a recommended set of managed service elements:

  1. Network Fabric - Network, technology and access circuit infrastructure options
  2. Integration - Integration of different providers, technologies and services
  3. Equipment - Client site equipment with required protocol and feature support
  4. Regular Options - Standard services and product features that may be offered across all Data Services, including provisioning, management, maintenance, availability classes, etc
  5. Extended Options - Either bespoke or niche services that may vary on underlying Network Fabric or service type

Vanco uses certified providers for all areas of the service - circuits, equipment, authentication methods, etc - using only those that have undergone technical, operational, product, commercial and other evaluation through Vanco’s Certification Programme.

The Data Service products are generally identified by the Network Fabric used in the solution, the most popular include:

  1. MPLS Matrix - Integrating multiple MPLS circuit providers, providing CoS Transparency and end-to-end SLAs.
  2. IP Secure - Internet based IPSec solutions supporting performance SLAs
  3. Hybrid - Multiple integrated technologies, driven by site-specific requirements

Gateway services may be used to integrate other network technologies and services in to these core networks, including Internet, 3oConnect (out-of-office Connect), Voice Services, Private ADSL, Ethernet, Satellite amongst others.

MPLS Matrix:
MPLS Matrix is a global MPLS solution, supporting end-to-end multiple Classes of Service (CoS) and SLAs across one or more underlying MPLS providers.

MPLS Matrix supports CoS Transparency that provides end-to-end CoS traversal independent of underlying marking schemes, across multiple networks and irrespective of numbers of classes of service supported. MPLS Matrix supports multiple VPNs across the network, maintaining the logical separacy and security between different business units or others groups.

IP Secure:
IP Secure is a global wide area networking service using IPSec based Virtual Private Networks with performance SLAs across underlying Internet circuit provider infrastructures.

IP Secures comes in two service variants (fully interoperable) that provide choice and different performance SLAs;

  • IP Secure-anywhere:
Provides full global reach using any certified providers, typically using regional or domestic providers who offer a greater range of access types, network density, and lower cost. Anywhere connections will typically use public or private circuit provider peering between source and destination locations.
  • IP Secure-premium
Provides an enhanced service supporting Round Trip Delay and Packet Loss performance SLAs.
Hybrid Solution:
Hybrid networks provide complete flexibility for global networking using multiple providers, core and access technologies integrated as a single network solution.

Hybrid networks have been developed to address the varied requirements found in many of today’s solutions, supporting high service content, features and flexibility for larger locations, more cost effective options for other locations and a range of options between them, providing more levels of granularity in the classification of different site types.
